Home at Last...

Well, finally my family is all home safe and sound again. It has been a really busy time as of late.

Last week - beginning on the Sun, Aug 2nd - Brayden seemed to be coming down with a bug, but we weren't sure what because mainly all he had was a high temp (104). His fever broke for good Friday afternoon (it was on and off for most of the week) and then he broke out in a rash. This confirmed for Tyra that he had a case of Roseola. He is feeling much better now and the rash is almost gone.

I also went to a job interview on Thursday, while Marcia was kind enough to watch Brayden and comfort him while I was away. I was hired officially on Friday and start a new job tomorrow. The new position is part time customer service work for a school bus service and I work from 1-5 each afternoon M-F. The position will the end October 31st. This job was an answer to prayer and I give the Lord praise for His wonderful provision in our lives during the past several months. Since I was laid off in March, I have been extremely blessed to be able to stay at home with my babies (yes, I still think of Cait as my baby), but I am pleased to be able to go back to work.

Caitlyn has also been having adventures in Texas with her cousins and grandparents during the past week. She has enjoyed playing with the puppies, her cousins and she seems to have gotten some swim time in as well. Since she had to fly home from Dallas, the family drove her there this weekend, stopping on the way to take in the Abilene Zoo and the Eating at Dave and Buster's when they arrived in Dallas. We are glad she had a good time and are already hearing how much she is missed by the Texas clan, but we are also very happy to have her home again once more.

Tyra is still in school and while everyone else went to Denver and had a splendid time with the Horner family there, he was stuck here finishing up the final exams and board review sessions for the big tests which are coming up in just a few short weeks. We sorely missed him in Denver and cannot wait to go back!! Sincere thanks to Mary Jo, George, Josiah, Lydia, and Jerusha for the hospitality and healing we received while in Denver.

I would also like to say I miss my sister very much right now, as I was able to spend quality time with her in Denver and I cannot wait until we all live much closer and can enjoy more regular visits between our families!

We are also looking forward to a visit from my parents, Brandy and DJ a little later this week, which I am sure will prove to be a joyous time for everyone again.
